He established Barr to provide band pass filters to the scientific community, which was in need of high performance filters at moderate cost. Ed enjoyed helping optimize the customers' performance and cost goals through heavy interaction and involvement with the customers. His character has laid the cornerstones of Barr's culture of seeking simple solutions to complex problems through the development of strong relationships with our customers.
